What We Do
CEE-Trust is a convener, collaborator, and consultant for cities across the country.
- Convening: We gather the full CEE-Trust network annually and lead smaller working groups to explore specific topics and multi-city collaborations. Through our various convenings we share lessons learned, foster communication, document best practices, and identify new trends in education reform.
- Collaborating: We help Members and Affiliates explore new reform strategies, develop and execute collaborative projects, and leverage the national network to inform local projects.
- Consulting: We provide members with consulting support as they explore or implement new reform projects. We also offer consulting services to city-focused groups that are interested in developing education reform strategies informed by lessons learned through CEE-Trust's work with our Members and Affiliates.
Members and Affiliates
CEE-Trust Members are organizations that act as the harbormasters for the education reform movement in their cities. They align funding for entrepreneurs and new schools, they support teacher talent organizations and the charter school movement, they engage the public through events and media activities, and they make connections between cross-sector leaders to accelerate the pace of reform. Their goal is create a vibrant education ecosystem in their city.
CEE-Trust Affiliates are organizations that play a specific role to support education reform in their cities, but do not serve as the larger harbormaster for the reform movement. For example, a CEE-Trust Affiliate could be a local advocacy organization, a district watch-dog, or leadership development program with close ties to a CEE-Trust Member. Affiliates are nominated to apply by CEE-Trust Members, and must have a very close working relationship with the nominating organization. Their core goal is to strengthen on aspect of a city's education ecosystem. Affiliates generally work in one area that aligns with CEE-Trust's Working Groups.
